Ethereal Chains


When you CHAIN <player>, or CHAIN <player> WITH <chain>, you and your target will suffer the following afflictions. - Chained characters can only move 1 room per second. - If you move away from someone, the chain will cause you to lose balance. - If you manage to move far enough away, the chain will automatically break. - You cannot BURROW while chained. - This effect fades after 60 seconds - Each chain can be used 12 times before crumbling away.


The Four-Leaved Clover


When used, the clover will grant you an increase to your critical hits for 24 hours, which will stack with the critical hit artifact, deadaim, and the sunburst etching.

To use the clover, you can RIP LEAF FROM CLOVER or PICK LEAF FROM CLOVER (they are functionally identical). Only the clover's owner can do this. As there are 4 leaves on the clover, you can do this four times, after which the clover will be destroyed. The clover will reset to you and never decay, so if you want to keep it permanently, you can simply leave one of its leaves intact.

Clovers, once ripped, cannot be traded.


The Troggle


The troggle can be pinched and sent to another player to immediately deliver a personal message.


Polished Wooden Staff


This special, resetting, permanent item will give you the ability to curse an enemy so that he becomes a zombie when he dies. First, the staff must be powered up. You can power it up by killing undead while the staff is in your inventory. You can see the staff's current level of power by probing it. You must power the staff up by killing 100 undead. The staff will lose 1% of power every 30 minutes, so once it is at max power, you must use it quickly.

You curse your enemy by pointing the staff at him. The next time that he dies (such that the death leaves a normal corpse) after the staff has cursed him, his corpse will rise up as a zombie. So long as that zombie is alive, the target will have decreased health gain. The zombie will decay after 10 minutes.


A Crude Amulet


This amulet will satiate you, restore your health and mana, and removes bleeding when used. This does -not- restore your health and mana reserves.

You may use this amulet by RUB <AMULET> up to 10 times. It has a 4-hour cool-down.


Ethereal Rope


ATTACH <rope> TO <person>, and then you can PULL ROPE ON <person> to teleport to that person from anywhere. This is a one-use item and will last 60 minutes. Good for allies and enemies. This will work through monolith and other movement prevention items and effects. Shackles will stop it.


Ethereal Shackles


Command: SHACKLE <target>. - You cannot leave an area you have been shackled in. - A shackled character can only move 1 room per second. - You can only move via normal movement. No magickal movement is possible. - You cannot FLY or BURROW when shackled. - BREAK SHACKLES to escape early. This is a 20 second, channeled command. - Shackles will last 5 minutes.


Ethereal Mirror


LOOK INTO MIRROR AS <player>. You will have that players current skills for 8 hours. Keep in mind, if they decide to change profession or forget skills, you will as well. You cannot forget skills, learn, or change professions while using the mirror. This is a one use item. You can SHATTER VISAGE to stop copying the player. The target does not have to be online. This is a good tool for testing other classes or just throwing different professions at your enemies.

Some skills may not work with the mirror. 99% of them should all work, but if you notice one ISSUE it and I will fix it.


Emote Token


Create your own custom balanceless emote! No more are you subject to the tyranny of balance loss on your commonly used custom emotes. For information on how to write your messages, see HELP CUSTOMIZED MESSAGES.

PROMOTOKEN EMOTE <token> SHOW PROMOTOKEN EMOTE <token> VERB <text>

 This is the command used to execute the emote. Cannot be an existing command.

PROMOTOKEN EMOTE <token> 1|3|1t|2t|3t|POSE <text>

 1    - 1st person text
 3    - 3rd person text
 1t   - 1st person text (when there's a target)
 2t   - 2nd person text (when there's a target)
 3t   - 3rd person text (when there's a target)
 POSE - This is the optional looktext that the player will
        have after doing this emote.
        Of the form: Name is here, <text>.

Behaviour Token


You can trade in these tokens for a single behaviour type in a set. The previous behaviour sets (drunken, volcanic, frosty, lightning, and poised) are no longer available. See HELP BEHAVIOURS for the syntax to turning them in.


A small gleaming stone


You can CRUSH this stone and give yourself a permanent 5% bashing damage bonus. This bonus applies to all people in the room with you and is stackable with any other players who have the bonus as well, up to a 25% total. You CANNOT use this stone twice on yourself.


A bag of dust


This bag of dust can be used every 60 minutes. It can be used to THROW DUST AT <mob>. The mob will be polymorphed into a sheep, which can be killed much easier. The dust cannot transform mobs that are loyal to players or player organisations (guards).


A talisman of carved deer antler


Command: CALL TALISMAN

This will begin the summoning process. Every few seconds for the next 60 minutes, the talisman will summon winter spirit that will try to kill you. The more you kill, the tougher they will become. If you are killed, they will stop spawning. Beware the boss snowman.

A glittery golden beard


Command: YANK <person>

This glorious glittery beard will yank a person into your room when worn. Some restrictions apply.


A skull deathmask


When worn, this mask will hide your identity in deathsight messages.


A bucket of fodder


Command: FEED <pet> WITH FODDER

This bucket of fodder is ever filling and will keep your pet fully fed.


Tonics


Command: DRINK <tonic>

There are five types of tonics. All are one use items.

- XP Tonic (amethyst tonic): +10% XP to your next Bashing, PK, or Quest Level. This amount of XP is then added to your general XP as well.

- Gold Tonic (gold tonic): Increases the amount of gold dropped from mobs for 60 minutes.

- Burrowing Tonic (sapphire tonic): Can use the BURROW for 60 minutes. - Flying Tonic (sapphire tonic): Can FLY for 60 minutes.

- Water Breathing Tonic (sapphire tonic): Can breathe underwater for 60 minutes.

- Prevent Drunkenness (fizzy tonic): Prevent the ill-effects of getting drunk for 60 minutes. Cannot be used in drinking contests.

- Cure Drunkenness (fizzy tonic): Completely cure drunkenness.


Ethereal Boots


Command: ACTIVATE BOOTS This will give you the boots defence that lasts 10 minutes. During this time you can use the kipup, frontflip, and backflip skills. One use item.


Ethereal Cloak


Command: ACTIVATE CLOAK When activated, the cloak will give you a 60-minute defence that will allow you to use the obfuscate skill. One use item.


Ethereal Pellet


Command: FEED <pet> WITH PELLET Any pet that eats this pellet will reset to the sanctuary after 60 minutes the NEXT time they die. This item only works once. If they are killed a second time, they are gone for good.


Ethereal Nose Ring


Command: ACTIVATE NOSERING When you activate the nosering you will have a 60-minute defense that allows you to use the racial scent skill. One use item.


Ethereal Ring


Command: ACTIVATE RING

        TWIST RING

This is a rare, one use item. It works exactly like the Raksha Band. Activate the ring in any room you want to be able to return to. Twist the ring to return there with very few restrictions.


a pair of werewolf claws


CLAW <target> This will hit your target with a random hidden affliction. 10 uses.


a pair of vampire fangs


SUCK BLOOD <target> This item does damage to the target while healing the attacker. 10 uses.


a bit of scarecrow straw


LIGHT STRAW ON FIRE Fills any room you are in with blistering heat. Any exposed herbs in players inventories are destroyed. Players cannot take herbs from rifts or other items or they will just burn up. This will automatically keep autocuring systems from using herbs. Lasts for 30 seconds. 1 use.

a tenebrous reaper's sash


WEAR SASH Mobs you kill while wearing this sash will come back as a shade, so you can kill it again. This item will last for 2 hours. 1 use.


a jar of abomination ooze


SPLASH <target> WITH OOZE This will increase the writhe time and balance cost when a character uses writhe to escape most writhe afflictions. This does not include impale. 10 uses.


an imp's silvery locket


CURSE THE <stat> OF <target> This will lower the characters target stat by 1 point. However, it will raise another random stat by 1. Lasts 60 minutes. 5 uses.


an icy fairy's wand


POINT <wand> AT <target> This will cause the player to move with a delayed movement for 60 seconds. 10 uses.


a delicious-looking jester's pie


THROW PIE AT <target> This item disrupts most channeled abilities, causing them to fail instantly. 10 uses.

a handful of dragon scales


TOUCH <scales> The user will receive a 10% resist bonus for 10 minutes. 10 uses.


a rotted zombie brain


EAT <brain> The character will be immune to the effects of broken arms and legs for 60 seconds. They will still be broken, mangled, and whatever else. 5 uses.


Sonic Emitter


ACTIVATE EMITTER. This item will reset any leyline intersection back to a neutral setting. 1 use.


Oblong Transmitter


ACTIVATE TRANSMITTER Teleport to the leyline in your area. 10 uses.


Phantom Beacon


ACTIVATE BEACON Travel to the last shardfall area. 10 uses.


a dispersing charm


This charm stops a surge from happening to you. TAP <charm> to activate and deactivate the charm. 25 uses.


a glacial bomb


THROW <bomb> AT GROUND This bomb will pull icewalls up across all exits in the room. 1 use.


a holocaust bomb


THROW <bomb> AT GROUND This bomb will damage and blow all characters from the room except the caster. It will drop firewalls in all directions. 1 use.


Dictators Pen


DICTATE INTO <journal> CEASE DICTATING Doing your own paperwork is inhuman, use this pen to take care of it for you. Activating this pen will cause anything said in the room to be written into a journal.


Circumferentor


Shows room numbers along with the room names for skills that report a target's location

Works for the following skills:

Descecration: Treelist Engineering: Spyglass Fayth: Seek, Presences Malignosis: Demon Observe Naturebinding: Treelist Necromancy: Sense Perception: Farsight, Scan, Rivensense. Terrestrialism: Locate Shadowbinding: Seek Shamanism: Divine Spatium: Demon Scent Telepathy: Sense, Fullsense Terratheria: Windscribe Voice: Ka, Iluma Racial: Scent Shards: Presence


Crystal pendulum


This will increase leyline influencing by 10%.


Devil Salts


Awakens a character from death, as long as it has happened in the last 10 seconds. Players have an AGREE command if they want to come back. They flail and scream in terror for a few seconds first, lashing out and striking random players in the room. 60-minute cooldown. USE <salts> ON <corpse>


Pet Licence


Player can have 2 pets out at once. One pet must be a mount, the other cannot be a mount.


Taming Certificate


APPLY <certificate> TO <pet> Allows any pet to learn one more skill that they could before. This will stack with being transcendent in taming, and cannot exceed 10 skills on a given animal. This is a one-time use item.


Slippery Cloak


You cannot follow a player wearing this cloak.


Crooked Eyeglass


SQUINT <dir> <dir2> This item will let you use the squint command around corners. It reaches a maximum of 5 rooms.


Tombstone of Life


TOUCH TOMBSTONE Return to the surface from anywhere in the Underworld after a short channel.


Squirt bottle


Make your pet obey no matter what. Just need to have it in your inventory.


Allegiance Pin


OBSERVE <ally> UNOBSERVE Focus on one mutual ally. Alerts when that mutual ally is damaged, revealing attacker and location.


Chaotic Crystal


TOUCH <CRYSTAL> This crystal will change your gender. This item has a 24-hour cooldown.


Mithril Top


SPIN TOP Spin the top to be flung to a random room on the Material Plane.


a delicate mithril flute


BLOW FLUTE and all mutual allies in the room with you will follow you.


a sphere of peace


ACTIVATE SPHERE and everyone in the room with you will unenemy you. There is a 10-minute cooldown on the item.


a poisoned whip


Hit a target with this whip and the target will have movement problems for 15 seconds. They will knock them off balance when they move from room to room. WHIP <target>


a monkey idol (rejection)


Drop the idol in a room and it will auto teleport the next enemy that enters the room to another random room in the area. Once dropped it cannot be picked up. After one game month, it will return to the player's inventory. The owner must be in the room for it to work.


an octopus idol (entanglement)


Drop the idol in a room and it will auto entangle the next enemy three enemies that enter the room. Once dropped it cannot be picked up. After one game month, it will return to the player's inventory.


an angel idol (resurrection)


Drop the idol in a room and it will auto resurrect the next ally that dies in the room. Once dropped it cannot be picked up. After 60 minutes it will return to the player's inventory.


a rhino idol (repulsion)


Drop the idol in a room and the next player who enters the room will be knocked back out of the room and knocked off balance. The next player has a 75% chance of being ejected, then 50% then 25%. Once dropped it cannot be picked up. After one game month, it will return to the player's inventory.


a wyvern idol (meteoric)


When dropped the idol will fire meteors at enemy characters in the area. The target is randomly chosen. It will attempt to fire every 15 seconds for 90 seconds. This is similar to the star tarot and meteor arrows in crystalbinding. After one game month, it will return to the player's inventory. Must be placed outside.


a scorpion idol (acidic)


All players, including the owner that enter the room with this idol, will instantly be hit with poison for 10% of their max health and mana. This will continue for 60 seconds. After one game month, it will return to the player's inventory.


a elephant idol (tossing)


Any player (except the owner) entering the room is tossed up into the skies. It will not affect players burrowing up, swinging down, or landing in the room. Will not work in a room considered to be indoors. This will continue for 60 seconds. You can only be affected by the elephant and gopher idols once every 7 seconds. After one game month, it will return to the player's inventory.


a gopher idol (burying)


Any player (except the owner) entering the room is buried instantly. Will only work in a room players can normally be buried in. This will continue for 60 seconds. You can only be affected by the elephant and gopher idols once every 7 seconds. After one game month, it will return to the player's inventory.


a skull idol (ravenous)


When an enemy player enters the room this idol will swallow them whole and drop them in the rashirmir for 10 seconds before returning them. After one game month it will return to the players inventory. The owner must be in the room for it to work.


a simple toolkit


The toolkit that lets you disassemble crafting items for a partial return of components. DISASSEMBLE <item>


a sack of meat


You will not lose your mobile followers when you tumble from a room.


an inscribed stone


An item that unenemies you to all players in the area and does not let them enemy you again for a few seconds. 60-second cooldown. FLIP <stone>


a storm signet ring


This ring will create a powerful thunderstorm in the characters area. Anyone outside, including the user, has a chance of being struck by lightning for serious damage. This item has a 60 minute cooldown. TWIST <ring>


an elephant carving


When dropped in the room, keep people from flying. Only it's owner can pick it up.


Spiritsense Leaf


EAT <leaf> Grants access to the SPIRITSENSE ability, which grants a defence that will inform you when (but not where) someone comes back to life from the death sequence - the opposite to deathsight. If combined with the aryana obelisk ability, you will also see the room the player is returned to life in. One herb will last 12 hours.

Note: You cannot sell spiritsense leaves on the promo market and they do not reset to your inventory, so be careful not to drop them or give them away. You can put the leaves into your rift and group them.


Bluestar leaf


EAT <leaf> This leaf willpower over the resurrection powers of Starburst, Combustion, Angel Idol, and Torc of the Dead. Should you kill someone that is using one of these defences, it will fail them. One use only.

Note: You cannot sell bluestar leaves on the promo market and they do not reset to your inventory, so be careful not to drop them or give them away. You can put the leaves into your rift and group them.


Corpseblood leaf


EAT <leaf> This will give you the corpse blood defence. When killed, your blood will strike all of the players in the room. This will give them the corpse blood affliction with will cause minor, periodic poison damage for 60 seconds. It will also afflict the ground, causing slow movement for anyone trying to leave the room. This will also last for 60 seconds for anyone in the room.

Note: You cannot sell corpseblood leaves on the promo market and they do not reset to your inventory, so be careful not to drop them or give them away. You can put the leaves into your rift and group them.


Bottle of Hot Air


Increases the number of shouts you are allowed per hour by one. Stacks.


Patchwork Cloak


FLASH <dir> <dir> COMBINE <cloak> TO <cloak> This cloak is made from a bit of cloth believed to be from the clothes of the ancient gods. These scraps allow you a big of their godly movement allowing you to pass through a room quickly. This movement into the first room is normal movement, but the second movement is blocked by very few things. 24 hour cooldown per patch. You can combine cloaks in order to increase the number of uses per day.


Propaganda Poster


HANG POSTER LINK <poster from inventory> to <hanging poster> PULL DOWN <poster> LOOK <poster> THROW <item> INTO <poster> PROBE <poster> Posters can be used in a variety of ways. Once hung, you can look through the poster to see the room the other poster is in. You will also hear any conversations had in the room with the matching poster. You can throw items from poster to poster rooms. Probing the poster will let you show you the connected posters. While only you can hang your poster, anyone can pull a poster down, causing it to reset to your inventory.

If the hung poster is unlinked when you LINK, the posters will be linked to each other. Otherwise, the hung poster will not change its link. A poster can only be linked to one at a time.

Due to the way posters work, you must BECKON ARTIFACT <poster> in order to return it to you.

Note: Posters can be linked to posters you do not own. When you probe a poster it will display the poster it is linked to directly, and all of the posters that are also linked to it. These additionally linked posters will only work one way.


a devious pixie


PIXIE WATCH <dir> If you are online, the pixie will tell you whenever someone enters from the assigned direction. The pixie is invisible, so no one can see it. It is not a mobile, so they cannot kill it. If someone uses the SEARCH skill in the room, the pixie will get scared and return to your inventory. If you leave the game, the pixie will head back to your inventory.


an irrational note


Notes can be used to submit custom room messages to use. Room messages cannot be used to create combat or other game messages that will mess with players. They are for enhancing your role-playing opportunities and not for gaining an edge in PvP.

One note can be turned in for one room emote.

ROOMEMOTE LIST A list of all room emotes you have created.

ROOMEMOTE <name> Use the room emote you have created. This comes with a longer equilibrium cost. If it is not yet approved it will display to you what it will look like once it has been approved so that you can review it.

ROOMEMOTE SUBMIT <name> <message> Submit your room emote for approval. Messages that make no sense, mimic combat or other game messages will be rejected. Once a message has been approved, it cannot be changed. You can use the following variables in the message as needed: $(caster$), $(him$), $(his$), and $(he$). ROOMEMOTE REMOVE <name> If you have a change of heart, you can remove a message from the approval queue before we approve it.

ROOMEMOTE RENAME <old name> <new name> Edit the name of an approved message.


a flask of thrice blessed water


POUR <flask> ON <corpse> This item multiplies a mobs sacrifice faith value by 100. It can only be used once every 24 hours. Great for those big-ticket mobs.


a golden triangle of fortune


RUB <triangle> This item increases gold drops by 10% for the next 60 minutes for any mobs that you kill. This item has a 24-hour cooldown.


a black cats tail


TOUCH <mob> WITH <tail> This item will curse a mob you touch it with. The effect will double all damage done to it, but halves the XP gained from killing it. The tail has a 60-second cooldown and the effect is permanent until it is killed.


a balm of emboldening


APPLY <balm> TO <mob> When applied to a mob it will halve the damage done to it, but it doubles its XP value and gold drop. The balm has a 60-second cooldown and the effect is permanent until it is killed.

a broken mirror shard


CUT <player> WITH <shard> Have someone you hate? This item curses a player with -25% gold drops for 60 minutes. It has a 24-hour cooldown.


a shell of lethargy


THROW <shell> This item automatically hits the closest enemy character in the same area. It has a 60-second effect that varies depending on the color of the shell. A player struck by a shell is immune to further shell effects for 60 minutes.

Red: Doubles movement delay over rubble
Green: Reduces the celerity of the targeted persona to 1 room per second
Blue: Confuses character movement. Normal movement cannot be controlled. 


a scatter bomb


THROW <bomb> <direction> All mobs in the affected room will automatically wander twice, completely emptying the room. It does not work on guards, bosses, or mobs loyal to players.


a splintered looking glass


STARE INTO <mirror> This will create dozens of mirror images of the character appear. While this does not confuse other characters, NPC's will be unable to hit the character unless hit first. This item has a 60-minute cooldown and does not work on boss mobs.

a ragged scarecrow


PLANT <scarecrow> Causes NPC's to avoid walking into a room. Does not work on bosses and has a 60-minute cooldown.


an alluring gem


DROP <gem> All wandering mobs in the area will advance to the room the gem has been dropped in. In addition, it halves the wandering speed of mobs in the area that are moving toward the gem. if there are more than one in an area, it will randomly decide which one to go to. The item can only be used once every 60 minutes and the effect lasts for 60 minutes. You can pick it up to turn it off and then drop it again in the same room to reactivate it within that 60 minutes.
