The dark rock of the Eastern Nolmine Heights is clearly unlike most mountainous areas. These Heights were formed from many cycles of volcanic eruptions which spewed molten lava skywards and outwards. Though nobody knows what was originally there, these eruptions did manage to kill the Bardosi Forest to the north and they eventually became the Bardosi Plains when plant-life returned.
