Argain is the island home of one of many nodes of power that can be used as the foundation for powerful obelisks.
Landmarks
Argain Village
Notable Denizens
- Argain, son of Tharn - He is a tall, broad shouldered man. He wears an ornate sword at his side, and carries it as a badge of honor. His clothes are regal, a purple tunic under a decorated maroon vest, trim pants, cut for ease of mobility, and solid leather shoes, scraped in places, but still held together nicely. His brown hair is cut short, in a military style, yet it still fits him, even as royalty. His father, Tharn, was a ruler in an undiscovered land and deeded the islands to his children upon his death, each of which were named after the kids. Argain's relationship with his siblings is estranged.
- Alaota, wife of Argain - Alaota is a very beautiful woman, and likes to make sure that everyone knows it. Wearing a long, flowing skirt with a magnificently tailored shirt, she will always be the center of attention, no matter where she is. Cut at waist length, her hair hangs down smoothly, and shines brilliantly. What little jewelry she wears is all beautiful, formed from gold and finely cut gems.
- Wick, the lampmaker - Wick is a short fellow, and is fairly scrawny. What he lacks in stature, he makes up for with steady hands and an eye for detail. He is very tidy, keeping himself neat and proper at all times, with his clothes in order and his tools perfectly organized in a leather belt around his waist.
- Harl, the carver - Of average build, Harl would be able to blend easily into a crowd. His features are quite ordinary, nothing sticking out noticeably. While nothing about his person is odd, he wears a small glass lens attached to his head, able to be swung down in front of one eye for him to see small details more easily. Along with his eyepiece, he has a few tools attached to his clothes where extra loops have been sewn onto his clothing's arms and legs.
- One-eyed Jark - Jark has a patch across his right eye, which he tends to scratch from time to time. He is the proprietor of The Ship's Mast Tavern in Argain Village.
- Verit, the landowner - Verit is a rather large and rotund man, who exudes a warm, friendly feeling about him. His cheery smile is contagious for nearly everyone who sees it, and his large hand is readily extended in greeting to passersby. Though portly, years of work can been seen underneath his exterior. His eyes are knowledgeable, and he can go on at great length about any topic of interest to him. He owns a farm on the island of Argain.
- Lyer, the farmer - Hunched over, this man looks almost pitiful in his weakness. Not looking like a typical farmer, he is thin and seems to have no idea about the farming going on around him. His jet black hair is greasy and slicked down to one side, his eyes are set close together, and his pristine clothing seems to have never touched soil before. He works on Verit's farm on the island of Argain.
