The Great Trees of [[Aetherius]] are gathered within the [[Celidon]] forest, nurtured | |||
with a gentle touch and cared for by the [[Sylayan]]s who have devoted their lives | |||
to them. Living within the confines of their reserve, the Sylayans are a tight | |||
community, limiting their lives to their neighbours and the trees they protect | |||
from the harm of civilization. | |||
The Reserve is a safe haven for the continuation and growth of the Wild. The | |||
Sylayans live off the gifts of the reserve, only using what the Wild offers to | |||
them. The Great Trees that dot the reserve are large enough to house the | |||
community of Sylayans within their branches, allowing a simple retreat for | |||
their own protection. | |||
The townespeople bear little interest in the workings of Civilization, using | |||
only the tools that allow them to help the trees they protect. The Sylayans | |||
have little control over the tides of [[Magick]], using what they know to assist | |||
them in the growth of their trees. | |||
