The Paran mountain range is the lower extension of the [[Areish mountains]].

They sweep eastward from the Areish, cupping the [[Shaahri desert]] to the

north of them. Not as tall as the Areish range, they are just as deadly.

Many travellers have lost their lives attempting to cross their peaks.
