Borahn Homestead

The Borahn Homestead is the small farm and home of the Borahn family and can be found directly south off the highway and nestled between the Sienna and Egeria forests. The trees themselves have mostly been removed from the forest area to make way for large, well-groomed fields and gardens. This serene and quiet homestead is quite small, but the luscious fruit and corn fields help to supply the rest of the families in the area with deliciously fresh produce. The homestead also sits on the bank of the Eucrates River.

Flora and Fauna

  • a short-billed jackdaw - This perching bird looks only slightly like its crow cousins, its plumage a shiny black at first glance. Upon further examination, however, the variety of colours hidden within its feathers becomes more clear, everything from nuances of purple to deep blues and greens shimmering glossily in any light surrounding it. The bird seems a nervous one, its pale blue eyes darting from place to place with caution. Silver-grey head plumage creeps up the back of the bird's head, stopping just before a black band that stretches until the bird's short bill. A short-billed jackdaw is a humble-looking creature. It weighs about 5 pounds.
  • a majestic black stallion - This black stallion dons a luxuriously glossy coat of deep midnight hue, with large, long-lashed brown eyes which stare out from beneath a flowing mane, ever wary of nearby movements. The fame of the animal is a gracefully muscled machine, slender yet undeniably strong and sturdy with a lean build which speaks volumes of the steed's health. A majestic black stallion is quite powerful. It weighs about 1412 pounds.
  • an adult willow tree - The thick trunk of this tree is barely visible beyond the tendrils of leafy branches that create a canopy and provide a very wide space of shade. Near the base of the trunk is a collection of upturned roots guarding a small hole in the tree's base. It weighs about 650 pounds.
