Anhir

In the midst of the searing sea of sand, a small group of desert-dwellers stopped their wandering and settled beneath a solitary stand of date palms. This group came to call themselves "Anir" which can be translated by some as "Lonely" or "Left There".

However, having the strong roots grown in the soil surviving the oppression of Stavenn and the refreshing rain of endearing themselves to the numerous tribes of the desert, the little village of Anhir still thrives north of Antioch.

Although it seems a quiet and safe enough township, there seems to always be some adventure or controversy waiting at its gates. Some say that great spirits of harm and grace fight in the Spirit Skies above the village, ever-engaged in a violent struggle to hold sway over the souls of Anhir.

Anhir produces and sells crops and livestock commodities.

Notable Denizens

  • Ti'li, the farmer - Her arms akimbo, Ti'li stands with a motherly air about her. Her grey hair has been swept up into a wispy bun, the only testament to her possible age. She is a thin, pretty woman with dark skin and eyes. The occasional feather rests on her clothing, a present from one of her wayward, yet loveable chickens.
  • Habbib, the Ahwhe Merchant - Habbib sells ahwhe in a simple clay cup.
  • Chelixer, Baron of the sukh -

Flora and Fauna

  • an ornery camel - The camel is quite tall and gangly looking. Its disposition seems generally surly and uncooperative, as evidenced by the frequent baring of its teeth and occasional spitting. An ornery camel seems strong and confident. It weighs about 250 pounds.
  • a long-legged chicken - This rather stringy chicken has long, banded legs and a spray of pale yellow feathers adorning its head. The rest of its body is cloaked in the same soft feathers, each one striped lightly with white. Although it lacks in bulk, its long legs and thin neck make it a rather agile creature. A long-legged chicken does not look particularly dangerous. It weighs about 6 pounds.
  • a beautiful Tazi hound - This dog's hair is long and flows gracefully over his tall, thin frame. His ears are long and hang on either side of his extended and blackened snout. There is a strip of tan hair that runs along his back and tail. He looks to be a rather intelligent and genteel creature, although he is also a working dog. A beautiful Tazi hound seems to be unafraid. It weighs about 37 pounds.
  • a thin cow - This thin cow is covered in white and brown spots and her horns are short and blunt. Swishing her tail from time to time to startle the flies that land on her sparse flanks, she chews her cud placidly and shows little interest for anything around her. She bows her head to sniff at the ground, looking for a tuft of grass or a leafy plant. Her nose has been pierced with a golden hoop and she seems quite tame. A thin cow exudes a quiet confidence. It weighs about 250 pounds.

Quests and Activities

  • Runaway Chickens - Ti'li is missing some of her chickens, which will need to be led back to the roost before they can begin laying eggs.
