Beastmastery (skill)

Revision as of 14:11, 3 December 2017 by Tonrar (talk | contribs)

The most important trait of any Predator is their ability to exert dominance over the various beasts of the wilds, forcing them into submission and putting their distinctive talents into use. An aspiring Predator quickly learns how to control and command the wild wolves of the frozen pines, and eventually expands these skills to control hawks, bears, and even gigantic spiders. A Beastmaster who knows his craft is truly a force to be reckoned with.

Call
Syntax:
CALL <animal>
DISMISS <animal>
The most important ability of any Beastmaster is to know how to call and gain the trust of wild animals. As you learn more of Beastmastery, you will gain the ability to call upon the aid of several distinct beasts.
Cooldown: 4 seconds of equilibrium
Resource: 9 mana

Wolf
Syntax:
CALL WOLF
MOUNT/DISMOUNT WOLF
DISMISS WOLF
Long feared have been the wolves of the wild, though your time training as a predator in your own right has given you a knowledge of how to handle them. Once you've gained the trust of a wolf in the wild, a dangerous practice, you may summon it to your cause with but a whistle from anywhere in the realm.

Though it will not fight for you, it will increase your speed on the ground when riding.

The wolf's extraordinary sense of direction will also allow you to teach it trails and commands in the future.
Cooldown: 4 seconds of equilibrium

Heirloom
Syntax:
ACCUSTOM WOLF TO <object> [TO REPLACE <object>]
BURY <object>
RETURN <object>
HEIRLOOM LIST
HEIRLOOM <id> ALIAS <alias>
This will allow you to accustom your wolf to the appearance and scent of any object you so please, to the point that it can locate it anywhere in the realms, as long as it is outdoors and buried. Burying it will keep it somewhat hidden and allow you to use it as a beacon for your beast, making it possible to travel back to that point from anywhere on the continent, as long as you are riding your wolf.

For easier remembrance, you can then assign an alias to each of your heirlooms, and use it in other skills.

Cooldown: 7 seconds of equilibrium

Swoop
Syntax:
ENVENOM TALONS OF HAWK WITH <toxin 1> AND <toxin 2>
HAWK SWOOP <target>
Your skill as a Predator is now such that you are able to apply a thin coat of toxin to the talons of a hawk under your command. Only the deft touch of one as highly skilled as yourself is able to measure out the proper amount of toxin to allow for maximum effectiveness, but not harm your loyal companion.
