Demonic Circle
Sovereignty: Khandava
Hawkmaster: Myrcella
Birdtamers: Caitryn

Decades ago, when the Sylayan of the Lalwan Eryn explored the forest of Khandava, some chose to remain. While their roots began within the Arboreals, the people of Mylani found their life more suited to that of a hunter and over time became more attuned to the fauna of the Wilds. During the demon incursions, they decided they had no need of the troubles of the world and called upon the very Wilds to seal them within their home. Any efforts to enter the village were met with the force of the Wilds, the trees literally closing around it.

Mylani has become a self-sustaining village and is a lesson in living off the lands. Its inhabitants have retained much of their own style of living, even in the face of the modern age, and offer anyone the generosity and comforts of their enchanted home.

Notable Denizens

  • Alasse, a sylayan maiden - A blond, violet-eyed maiden, she wears a classic doeskin dress and wildflowers woven into a circlet on her hair.
  • Caranthir, the village's champion hunter - Dressed in forest-hued garb, Caranthir's skin is sunned bronze while his long hair is black and straight. Despite being perfectly still most of the time, his ears tend to prick up at the slightest sound. A hornbow and deerhide quiver are slung behind him.
  • Karlynne, a sylayan merchant - A lithe sylayan with brown hair and brooding eyes, Karlynne wears a pouch and a hip basket as she tends to the Sylayan Emporium
  • Lysander, a sylayan broker - Taller than the average sylayan, he is dressed in forest hues and tanned hides. Unusually still, his eyes are ice-grey and his brown hair is cropped short.
  • Sarinna, an orchard wench - Found in the orchard on the northern part of the towne, Sarinna has long black hair complemented by bright violet eyes. She wears a simple frock and mid-calf boots for her work.
  • Elarad, the village shaman - Dressed in fine ceremonial robes, Elarad gives the appearance of a medicine man. He has a graceful posture and exudes an aura of confidence.

Shops

Found inside a massive hollowed redwood, the Redwood Staples Shop sells the towne's produced resources of crops and livestock. Above it, the Sylayan Emporium sells inks and some woodland edibles. Heartstrings, the sole privately-owned shop in the towne, can be found just south of the aforementioned redwood.

Flora and Fauna

The indicative redwoods of Khandava continue to be widespread in Mylani. Woodland creatures, such as long-tailed wood mice and wild rabbits, frolic across the towne. Pheasants peck earthworms out of the earthen paths, while red frogs inhabit the pond on the northeastern side of towne. An owl also calls Mylani home, while a tamed eagle accompanies Elarad. On the northern edge of the towne is an orchard of pomegranate and mango trees.
