These are all the abilities in the skill of Kanai.

Fanatism

 KANAI TARGET <name>
 KANAI AMOUNT

Fanatism represents the main offensive component of the Kanai skill. By building up fanatism, you are able to use various increasingly powerful abilities against your chosen target.

First, you need to use KANAI TARGET <name> to pick the target for your fanatism. The target must be in the room with you. Once you have picked a target, using certain attacks (Smite, Sap, Chasten, and some Fanatism attacks) will increase your fanatism against that person. Fanatism is then used by various abilities within the skill.

If you do not use any ability that generates or consumes fanatism, your fanatism will start to wear off at a relatively quick pace, so you will need to keep attacking your target in order to not lose your fanatism. Most attacks in Fayth and Devotion do not generate fanatism, but they prevent it from starting to wear off.

Being attacked by your current fanatism target delay the onset of the wearoff as well, but only by up to 2 seconds.

Smite, Smash, Seraph Sap, and Chasten each generate 6% fanatism.

Knockdown

 KANAI KNOCKDOWN [target]

Generated fanatism: 8%

Knocks your current target to the ground, assuming he is not already prone.

The target is optional and can be omitted. Attempting to use the ability against a target other than your current fanatism target will have no effect. The ability to include a target is provided so that you don't accidentally attack the wrong player.

Burn

 KANAI BURN [target]

Required fanatism: 0%

This ability sets the target on fire and inflicts some fire damage. The more fanatism you have, the more damage this will cause.

Righteousness

 KANAI RIGHTEOUSNESS [target]

Generated fanatism: 14% (cannot exceed 40%)

This ability is the fastest way to increase your fanatism. However, it doesn't actually harm your target in any way. You also cannot use this ability to raise your fanatism beyond 40%.

Incense

 BURN INCENSE <incense>
 EXTINGUISH INCENSE <incense>
 EXTINGUISH INCENSE ALL

This ability allows you to burn various plants in an incense burner, providing various effects. For the most part, the effects are not passive, but they augment various other attacks. The effect of each type of incense is described in its AB help.

Burning incense requires you to have an incense burner in your inventory. You can only burn one type of incense at a time, the first burner in your inventory is used if you have more than one. The incense will be used up after some time and will stop burning.

Violet

 BURN INCENSE VIOLET

Burning a violet root increases the amount of fanatism generated when using the Righteousness and Demagogy abilities. Other forms of fanatism generation are not affected.

Primrose

Burning a primrose stalk increases your bond with your seraph, allowing you to see which afflictions she inflicts upon your enemies with the spiritwrack ability.

Perseverance

 PRAY FOR PERSEVERANCE
 PRAY FOR NOTHING

Bringing down infidels is not the only duty of a faithful Priest. By focusing your faith using simple prayers, you can provide many beneficial effects to your allies.

This prayer increases the constitution of all your allies in the room.

Having multiple priests chant the same prayer does not increase the effect, but each player can be affected by multiple different prayers at the same time.

A Priest can only have a single prayer active at a time.

Push

 KANAI PUSH [target]

Required fanatism: 15%

This ability attempts to transfer one random affliction from you onto your opponent. If you are not afflicted with anything, it will have no effect.

Inkburning

 PREPARE <color> INCENSE
 BURN INCENSE <ink color>
 EXTINGUISH INCENSE <ink color>

This ability allows you to burn ink-nifused incense sticks of various colors in your burner, each having a different effect. Only one ink can be burned at a time.

First of all, you need to prepare the incense sticks. Wood and the ink is needed, one piece of wood and one ink can produce 10 sticks.

The burned ink affects the following abilities: Smite, Burn, and Blasphemy.

The effects of the inks are as follows:

  • Red: some of the damage is inflicted as fire damage and puts the target on fire
  • Blue: some of the damage is inflicted as cold damage and freezes the target
  • Yellow: some of the damage is converted into mana damage, attacking mana instead of health
  • Green: a small portion of the damage is added to Priest's health
  • Purple: some of the damage (a smaller portion than with other ink types) is inflicted as unblockable damage
  • Gold: the attack has a chance to cause a short stun

Ink effects only work against players.

Stability

 PRAY FOR STABILITY

This prayer negates the effects of fear, preventing your allies from running heedlessly into danger.

Having multiple priests chant the same prayer does not increase the effect, but each player can be affected by multiple different prayers at the same time.

A Priest can only have a single prayer active at a time.

Demagogy

 KANAI DEMAGOGY [target]

This ability increases the fanatism of all Priests in the room who have focused their fanatism against the same target as you. Your own fanatism will not be increased, only others'.

Endive

 BURN INCENSE ENDIVE
 EXTINGUISH INCENSE ENDIVE

Burning an endive root allows you to discern the target's current mana upon a successful seraph sap.

Blackout

 KANAI BLACKOUT [target]

Required fanatism: 15%

This ability causes the target to experience a blackout, whose duration depends on your current fanatism. Its length is also reduced if the target was blackouted too recently.

Dandelion

 BURN INCENSE DANDELION
 EXTINGUISH INCENSE DANDELION

Burning a dandelion root allows you to use the Care ability within Fayth at any target in the same area.

Restoration

 PRAY FOR RESTORATION
 PRAY FOR NOTHING

This prayer restores health of all your allies in the room.

Having multiple priests chant the same prayer does not increase the effect, but each player can be affected by multiple different prayers at the same time.

A Priest can only have a single prayer active at a time.

Blasphemy

 KANAI BLASPHEMY [target]

Required fanatism: 15%

This ability inflicts fire damage upon a target based on their current mana. The higher mana, the more damage this causes.

Curative

 BURN INCENSE <plant>
 EXTINGUISH INCENSE <plant>

This ability allows you to burn various curative plants in order to inflict afflictions upon hitting your enemy with any of the affected attacks. If you have the Combine ability, you can burn multiple curative plants at once, but only a single plant is effective each time, chosen randomly.

The burned curative plant affects the following abilities: Smite, Smash, Burn, and Blasphemy.

The afflictions inflicted when burning various plants are as follows:

Galingale: pacifism Kelp: one of: clumsiness, weariness Laurel: epilepsy Lovage: one of: slickness, slow balance Maidenhair: one of: slickness, numbness, sensitivity Mandrake: one of: recklessness, shyness Nightshade: one of: vomiting, sun allergy Orphine: one of: stupidity, loneliness Wormwood: one of: hallucinations, confusion

If a plant offers multiple afflictions, one is chosen at random.

Rejuvenation

 PRAY FOR REJUVENATION
 PRAY FOR NOTHING

This prayer restores mana of all your allies in the room.

Having multiple priests chant the same prayer does not increase the effect, but each player can be affected by multiple different prayers at the same time.

A Priest can only have a single prayer active at a time.

Ensnare

 KANAI ENSNARE [target]

Required fanatism: 15%

This ability allows you to ensnare the target in tight ropes.

Combine

This is a passive ability. Upon learning it, you are able to burn up to three types of incense in a burner and using all their effects at once.

Only one ink may be burned at a time.

Myrrh

 BURN INCENSE MYRRH
 EXTINGUISH INCENSE MYRRH

This ability increases the effect of the currently burned ink, if any.

Shatter

 KANAI SHATTER [target]

Required fanatism: 5%

This ability allows you to shatter the protective shield surrounding your target. It is unique in that its speed depends on your current fanatism - the higher it is, the faster this ability will be.

Indignation

 KANAI INDIGNATION [target]

Required fanatism: 20%

For a limited duration, this ability provides increased protection against all damage caused by your current fanatism target. However, it will also make wielded shields ineffective for the duration against attacks from your target.

Hyssop

 BURN INCENSE HYSSOP
 EXTINGUISH INCENSE HYSSOP

Burning a hyssop stem allows you to notice which affliction was inflicted by the currently burned curative plant, if any.

Prepare

 KANAI PREPARE <effect>

You are now able to instantly prepare one of the Kanai effects. This has a much lower fanatism cost than the regular action, but will only affect one relevant attack and then fade away. You need to learn the effects in Kanai to be able to prepare them.

The prepared effect will fade after 10 seconds, if it's not used by then. Only one effect can be prepared at a time.

These effects can be prepared:

  • Quicken - 12% fanatism
  • Supremacy - 15% fanatism
  • Purification - 15% fanatism
  • Alacrity - 25% fanatism

The affected attacks still increase fanatism as usual.

Quicken

 KANAI QUICKEN [target]

Required fanatism: 40%

This ability increases the speed of all Kanai attacks for the next 30 seconds.

Supremacy

 KANAI SUPREMACY [target]

Required fanatism: 60%

This ability increases damage inflicted by the SMITE attack for the next 30 seconds.

Obliviousness

 KANAI OBLIVIOUSNESS LOW/MEDIUM/HIGH/OFF

This ability allows you to focus better on your faith, increasing the amount of fanatism that you gain upon each relevant offensive action against your target. The cost for this is high, however - while oblivious, you will take more damage and will also require more time to recover herb balance.

Elation

 PRAY FOR ELATION

This prayer increases the intelligence and strength of all your allies in the room.

Having multiple priests chant the same prayer does not increase the effect, but each player can be affected by multiple different prayers at the same time.

A Priest can only have a single prayer active at a time.

Firebrand

 KANAI FIREBRAND [target]

Required fanatism: 40%

This ability brands the target with the symbol of fire, negating most of target's protection against fire damage.

Juniper

 BURN INCENSE JUNIPER
 EXTINGUISH INCENSE JUNIPER

Burning a juniper berry causes the Chasten ability to be affected by the currently burned curative plant, if any, effectively making it hit with two afflictions at the same time.

Linseed

 BURN INCENSE LINSEED
 EXTINGUISH INCENSE LINSEED

Burning a linseed causes a small percentage of received damage to be inflicted upon your attacker as well. It does not reduce the damage inflicted upon you.

Purification

 KANAI PURIFICATION [target]

Required fanatism: 60%

This ability increases the amount of mana drained by a successful seraph sap for a limited time, as well as allows sap to bypass protective shields.

Alacrity

 KANAI ALACRITY [target]

Required fanatism: 100%

This ability allows you to combine Smite with another attack, causing both to hit at the same time. This will only work against your current fanatism target.

These Fayth abilities can be combined with Smite: Sear, Panic, Strip, Sap

These Devotion abiities can be combined with Smite: Peace, Force, Dazzle
