History
100 years after the Awakening, the Horde first moved down from the Gongen Mountains to attack the city of Caanae. They were exceedingly successful in their attempt to destroy the city because of the sheer size of their forces and the fact that humans had never witnessed these creatures at any point in history.
The Horde seemed to be content with its singular attack upon humans for several centuries, appearing only in small scouting parties. In the year 500 AA, though, they returned in droves and marched towards the city of Kinsarmar. Time had given humans a chance to train and develop strategies to deal with the Horde, though, and this surprised them; they were quickly turned back and retreated back to the Gongens to recuperate.
