The Norrjin are the descendants of the refugees that fled to the north following the destruction of Caanae by the Horde. The power of the Moon of Change slowly evolved their bodies to deal with the rugged life. Stronger than the average human, these men are known for their ferocity in battle, and honor in life.

History

A group of humans who managed to escape from the Horde's attack on Caanae in the year 100 AA ventured north into the arctic wastelands. Hundreds perished in that first winter, and when spring broke, a man by the name of Eldgrim Flatnefr seized leadership. Though strict and unforgiving, he led the group to construct small villages, build defenses against the Horde or other threats, and to hunt the wildlife of the region more efficiently. Those that could not keep up with the progress were slain in what would become known as "the Culling".

Only the strongest and most intelligent of the refugees survived, and their descendants were even more hardy and adaptable, developing thick skin that protected them from the elements. In the year 290 AA, the northern men traveled south for the first time in generations, encountering the smaller tanari and muamrites that inhabited Aetherius in the years following the Horde's savage attack.
