Insidian was a member of the Phantoms, the clan of elite spies that later branched off and became the Saboteurs. He was extremely charming and charismatic, with an almost peculiar way of bending the minds of others to his will. He developed the art of hypnotism and taught it to his supporters, which earned him the ire of Sondgroth Suspira, who suspected that Insidian was using magick. Insidian's group left Kinsarmar and lived in the wilderness for several years, developing the ability to create toxins.

On the 13th of Tenebrae in the year 1413 AA, Insidian and his agents infilitrated Kinsarmar murdered every remaining member of the Phantoms, which allowed them to be the sole keepers of the arts of sabotage, hypnosis, and toxins, and their group became known as the Saboteurs.
