Alchemy

Alchemy was the skill of either enchanting pre-existing items with magickal powers, or creating magickal items. Producing either an enchantment or a creation involved three things: the presence of two silver cauldrons, some commodities, and performing a sequence of ritualistic actions. In the year 26 AM, Mages were given new powers and freedom over their elemental abilities, which led to the art of Crystalbinding taking the place of Alchemy in the profession's skillset.
