In the year 678 AD, the [[Demon Gods|Demon God]] [[Nytid]] destroyed Eloweth's temple in the [[Lost Forest]]. The [[Nexus]] was exposed, and [[Anathema]], a longtime rival of the Lady Arcane, took this opportunity to taint the energy of the Nexus. Nytid then revealed to all of [[Aetherius]] that Eloweth had always been linked to the Nexus and may have been more responsible for the [[Breaking of the Moons]] and the [[The Awakening|Awakening]] than had previously been known. This shook Eloweth, but when Nytid offered to reverse the effects of what Anathema had done, the Lady Arcane refused to give in to the demands. Soon after, a battle ensued between Anathema and Eloweth, which was interrupted by the arrival of Nytid and the Demon Gods [[Aosoth]] and [[Azaoz]]. | |||
As the battle raged on and it looked as if the Demon Gods would win yet again, Eloweth chose to make Her final sacrifice for Aetherius and used the chain-whip of Anathema to entangle Herself with the Griever. She descended into the Nexus, dragging Anathema and Nytid with Her, and none of the three were ever seen again. The adverse effects of the tainted Nexus were reversed, leaving mortals grateful for the Lady Arcane's final act of redemption. | |||
