Academia Sylvalis

The Academia Sylvalis was established in the year 715 AH as the Academia Herbalis by Iktov Sholet, who appointed Zangrilla Sylvia its first director. After Sylvia's death to voyria poisoning, it was renamed to honor her. The academy was destroyed in the year 100 AA after the Horde caused the fall of Caanae. In the year 457 AD, Danaglas revealed to Aetherius that the academy still existed in some form, now residing on an island named Eglondes Gecnawing.

History

When a particularly hot summer threatened the lives of citizens of Caanae in the year 714 AH, Iktov Sholet called for scholars and herbalists to devote all of their work towards finding a way to alleviate the effects of sun allergy. When Zangrilla Sylvia and her colleagues successfully discovered the medicinal effects of nightshade and created the first frost elixir, Sholet decided to construct an academy devoted specifically to medical research, calling it the Academia Herbalis.
