Zanik
Zanik was the God of Civilization, before His demise at the dawn of the Age of Mortality. Working as a hidden entity upon the formation of the great cities and councils of Aetherius, He never said anything, just guided from behind the scenes when He needed to, and watched the results. Making His will known well after the cities were completed and well set up in their own individual civilization, He went and created a small settlement within the Ravana Hills. For aeons, hidden from mortal view, He sat within His now holy grounds of Marutharan, studying His perfect creation.
He favored those who lead themselves with maturity and good manners, in the cities and councils of the lands. He also deeply enjoyed hearing tales of exploration from mortals who may undergo the task. His hand guided those in cities in one way or another. His symbols included the yellow rose, and a sparkling topaz key.
He is standing before you in an innate regal dignity. For the sake of mortal kind's ability to fathom Him, He has chosen to manifest Himself in the form of a flawless Sylayan. Like all elves, His features are sharp and suave. Framing His face whisps of sleek, silken black hair have been left somewhat tousled to give Him character. Like the backdrop of a starless midnight sky His hair cascades down over His poised shoulders and back, leaving something to be desired. As sure as a full moon contrasts such a sky, two pensive golden hues glitter in contrast with an unspoken wisdom. Tawny skin blankets His form and complexion, seemingly poured over Him like liquid bronze. Angular, pointed ears are often tuned in on some unheard discussion, finding mortality intriguing. Taut shoulders slope smoothly down into strong arms and firm hands, in which He grasps a walking stick. Adorning His feet are a pair of simple sandals, often times left to the side so that He may more fully enjoy the feel of the warm sand or plush grasses beneath Him. He is wearing long and flowing robes of golden yellow silk, a white gold chain necklace adorned with a glowing topaz key, and a topaz-set knot-work ring.

History
When Visyra and Slen banded together to kill Malkav in the year 678 AD, Zanik furiously descended from the heavens to save His brother. Slen had been injured in the attack on Malkav and was visibly weakened, and for a moment it appeared as if Zanik would succeed in killing one of the Demonic Gods, but Visyra interfered and allowed Slen to escape from the battle. Zanik called out for the aid of his fellow Gods and Janus and Cassiopeia answered His call. While Zanik would not survive this encounter, His efforts did lead to the first death of the Demon Lords, as Slen would not survive.
