| AbilityDescription=Wax is used in the creation of candles. There are two ways to obtain wax.


First, you may harvest beeswax from any beehive you find. Beehives appear randomly in the forests of Imperian. You may also harvest wax from a wooden beehive which is placed inside a player house.


You may also harvest fat from cow, pig, sheep, and goat corpses. You must have a soap knife to harvest fats. Corpses used to harvest fats are destroyed and cannot be used for anything else. These fats are then used with a fat renderer to create tallow.

| AbilityDescription=The ability to create perfumes is one of the core abilities in the Apothecary skillset.


If you would like to use a perfume on yourself just APPLY <perfume>. Characters with perfume on them will create random room messages indicating the scent of the perfume. Perfume may be removed by washing it off with soap or it will simply wear off after a period of time. Perfume is similar to oils, but the effect will last much longer.


To produce perfume, have in your possession a perfume pattern and the components required to make the item as indicated by the pattern. Typically all perfumes require a herbal liqueur commodity. Enter the command DESIGN <design> CRAFT to manufacture the perfume. You must have an aromatic press (engineering item) or a glass pipette (craft store) in your inventory to create perfume. An aromatic press will halve the commodity cost of the item.

Apothecary is a tradeskill which allows the user to mix a variety of ingredients to create oils, perfumes, soaps, candles, and cosmetics.

Mixing
