Basic tints come in five different colors; red, blue, green, black, and white. Basic tints may be purchased at the trade office in your city or council.

Harvesting | |
---|---|
Syntax: HARVEST BEESWAX
|
Wax is used in the creation of candles. There are two ways to obtain wax.
First, you may harvest beeswax from any beehive you find. Beehives appear randomly in the forests of Imperian. You may also harvest wax from a wooden beehive which is placed inside a player house. You may also harvest fat from cow, pig, sheep, and goat corpses. You must have a soap knife to harvest fats. Corpses used to harvest fats are destroyed and cannot be used for anything else. These fats are then used with a fat renderer to create tallow. |

Rendering | |
---|---|
Syntax: FASHION TALLOW
|
With this ability you may use animal fats to create tallow which may be used in the creation of candles. In order to complete the rendering process, you must have a stove and a fat renderer in the room you are working in. 10 animal fats are required in the creation of one tallow item. |

Grinding | |
---|---|
Syntax: GRIND <item> INTO POWDER

Many cosmetics in Apothecary require powders as a base to create them. Many types of roots can be used to create powder. You must have a grinding wheel in your inventory in order to grind roots. 10 plants or roots may be ground down to create one powder. |

Perfume | |
---|---|
Syntax:
|
The ability to create perfumes is one of the core abilities in the Apothecary skillset.
If you would like to use a perfume on yourself just APPLY <perfume>. Characters with perfume on them will create random room messages indicating the scent of the perfume. Perfume may be removed by washing it off with soap or it will simply wear off after a period of time. Perfume is similar to oils, but the effect will last much longer. To produce perfume, have in your possession a perfume pattern and the components required to make the item as indicated by the pattern. Typically all perfumes require a herbal liqueur commodity. Enter the command DESIGN <design> CRAFT to manufacture the perfume. You must have an aromatic press (engineering item) or a glass pipette (craft store) in your inventory to create perfume. An aromatic press will halve the commodity cost of the item. Perfume Design Messages: Apply Room LastApply Player LastApply Room Scent <1P, 2P, and 3P>: Scent <1R, 2R, and 3R>: Smell |
